Back to action. As usual, I've got news again peeps. This time we're going even deeper, got this news from some of the "people" (in fact they are all from the committee, nyehehehe..its getting loose i tell u) As the camp draws nearer, the committee is doing as much as possible to get more people to sign up. If you haven't..c'mon stop hesitating! Sign up this SUNDAY. SUNDAY!! Now, tell me how accurate I can be this time since its right from the prime source. Wahah!!

First, haven't you heard that the venue has changed? From Watercity Resort and now to Ayer Keroh Country Resort..but fret not, you guys still get to enjoy the wonderful nature of Melaka..and most importantly the FOOD. OOooooo.. *drools* I've tail gated the committee last week..it seems that they didn't take notice at all? I was right behind them. tsk tsk tsk. How careless can they be..now you know what i mean huh. The new campsite looks funner and better to me though. Never regretted "following" the committee along. Have u signed up? The Early Bird promotion ended last Sun so latest fees now will be RM220.

I saw something shiny from the desk of the Promotion director, Tzi Li..seems to look like some reflective thingy on cloth. I wonder what is that, never got a chance to look further though, what do you think? Have any idea what the promotion is up to this time? Also, straight from the Programme Director, Su Ann, there'll be presentation from The Committee??? Hmm... Got news too that the Games Director, Kenny Chin is up to some whacky plan for games..gigantic foosball, human size board games, on-going games...wow, IT IS ALL HUGE HUGE HUGE!!! Don't wait anymore..I can't wait to see what the TEAM of 08 is up to this time!

Listen up..listen up people! Juicy and yummy stuff on the loose. Woohoo! It is the Car Wash! Another fundraising project by the Fundraising Dept run by Mr Jonathan Yap and his lil sidekick Missy Phaik Joo. I've got this news dugged up from a pile of unwanted junks..it stated there that you only have to pay RM20 to get your car washed, cleaned and vacuumed till it is squeaky clean and all shiny! Confirmfirmed all of this can be done provided you have registered with a slot. Slots that are available to choose from ranges from 9am up to 2pm. Whichever time you are free, send your car over and they'll get the job done for you. So if you haven't, quickly sign up with Mr. Yap himself or Ms. Phaik Joo. Heard the slots are selling off like hot cakes! Oh right before i forget...the car wash will be held at the Kindergarten car park on the 15th of November. Besides that, volunteers are needed as well. Requirements hehehehe...its simple:- Knowlegde in splashing and having fun with water! Really encourage you guys to come and give a helping hand just to show your support towards youth camp alright?...it's gonna be fun! :) Trust me. hehehehhhe..
This is open to everyone, even if you are too young in owning a car...ask your parents to send theirs! Cool??

Moving to the 3rd week since the registration had opened..i urge you guys and girls...SIGN UP as soon as possible to qualify for the EARLY BIRD status. An early bird will only need to pay a full fees of RM210 that is RM10 lesser than the normal price. Till date, looks like there are already 10 people signed up for YOUTH CAMP! What's better is they get to enjoy discounted fees. Cool huh!? This promotion will end on the 30th of November. And the registration venue is fixed every week..realized that hippie commotion every Sun at the foyer? Head straight to the foyer once the service is over and you will find the registration booth there. It is easy...spot the two medieval warriors and there it is. So better be quick before it is too late! At least it is not too late for now...

As can be seen from the title of this post...there seems to be a glitch regarding the songwriting competition. According to the latest news scooped, the grand prize is no longer a 50% subsidize of camp fees. Please take note all ya campers alright? The committee must be trying to save some bucks for a better camp this year. But.....hhahahh definitely the new prize is not much a difference as well. Hence, I announce to you the new prize would be RM50 cash and a camp t-shirt! Still sound juicy ain't it? So guys, put more effort yo! The prize is on your way!

I'm done hiding!

Sorry mates, been away for a while..that could only mean one thing, the security has tightened. Looks like the committee is being extra careful to whom they're spreading the camp information to, afraid that the youths will know too early bout it...but, A-ha! I've always got my source. It is not very hard after all. Nothing is impossible when The Insider is around.

Alright, back to business, guess what? I just had a secret conversation over the phone with the camp worship coordinator, Kevin. He told me that he is up to something different this year. Something so different that has not been done by the youth, so extraordinary that the committee is excited so see how it will be...I hope it better be good! Yes, if you do not know..I am talking about the Songwriting Competition. This competition is open to all Youth Alive members and it is FREE OF CHARGE! You don't have to be a musician to write songs, if you can write, you can compose songs! Also, to add on to the fun..it seems that the committee had come to a decision that Youth Alive will give a 50% subsidize of Youth Camp fees to the winner of this year's songwriting champion! It is not about giving free Tshirts anymore...youth camp is going for greater prizes this time. A 50% subsidize, and that is only like hmmm..RM110?!! RM 110 for youth camp! WOw..who wouldn't want that! Tell you, this is going to be a once a lifetime opportunity so you better don't miss it. You wouldn't want to regret later looking at your friend seated next to you win the prize! C'mon don't hesitate anymore...I am talking to u! If and if only i could join....

Besides that, who loves futsal?? Hehehehehhheeheh

Yes, it is the come back of ME, The Insider. Guys, this time I am back more well-trained and specialized. Looking back at last 2 years where I was nearly being caught by the Camp Commander..man, I tell you that guy is witty! For Pete's sake..can't they even put their feet up! The camp commander must have been much disconcerted by me and couldn't hold it any longer and so decided to hunt for me in person. Could remember I was doing my job as usual, spying at camp meetings from far-off, looking into my Clear Point Model BC-821R-1 binoculars which I had just newly gotten from the H.Q...bet you guys didn't know this. There the camp commander suddenly appeared behind me. I could sense it...I tell you, back then it was a You die or I die kind of situation. It was so intense that I started having cold sweats. But....but.....I am always the smarter one. Hahhahhahahhah! Managed to soar off the building before the camp commander could even get any closer and thank goodness it was only 4 stories high! Ever since, I had decided to improve myself with the best training and drilling in town! Of feeling the rushing gush of waterfall falling on my head and shoulders. Rules no. 99! It was never easy but I believe it is all worth it as my die hard fans gets the inside leak out of youth camp this year! This time I will be much equipped with the latest and coolest gadgets better than those you could ever come across in The Dark Knight or James Bond 007. I am now back to scope around for the hottest, juiciest top secret of Youth Camp 2008. I will not let you down my friend..

Peeps... Here's the scoop for the last official Youth Camp meeting. It’s long due. Hahaaha.. the Camp Committee thought they had the doors locked on me, but i got my cam set up in there way beforehand.. and as i always say.... it's good to have contacts. Pull a few rafia strings.. some thread and rubber bands ... and you'll find you can drag just about anything out of anyone..... EVEN Camp Committee members... from right under their noses. Are you reading this Camp Commander? Hahahaha

For starters.. the design for Camp T-shirt is already in progress. Heard the Camp Promo Coordinator discussing with her lil sidekicks bout the colour for this years official camp T-shirts. Apparently.. they're considering Yellow. She wanted to design the camp shirts in mud brown initially.. but since this year's "Chapter II" Interschool Rally's shirts are already brown.. that shade had to go out the door. What do ya think? Yellow sound good to u guys? I kinda like the idea. Gimme some feedback here and i'll see if i can pull a few strings to get the shirts printed in The Most Highly Demanded Colour. OK peeps?

From the worship dept.... there was a debate on the theme song for camp. That led to Cd cases being thrown around on the desk. There's a shot of the album their considering ... try and figure out what the theme song will be guys. The shot isnt too clear tho.. sorry bout dat. I have to grab a shot at any moment i can... No time for focussing and all that stuff.

This one you're gonna like peeps. There's gonna be a Moonlight Beach Party this year!!!!! But even that had to rouse some debate as the planners squabbled bout how to mk a platform on the sand. You’d think they wud have more “important” things to squabble about… sigh.

Now peeps... listen to this. 3 Camp committees were roped in for investigation. Camp Commander’s been grumpy about his pic getting posted up here on leakout. But Hey! That’s too good a pic to let it go to waste haha. Just for starters ... those 3 under investigation rite now are Camp Advisor.. Kenny Chin, Game Master ... Reuben Ponniah and Camp Promo Coordinator, Alison Seow. These 3 were "thoroughly interrogated" by the Camp Commander... so i heard. Can't confirm if any man-handling was involved to get em to admit to being "ME". Hahahhaha.. as if any of em have what it takes to be me. More so... word's got around that the Camp Promo Coordinator had a fall and was hospitalised for some time. I thought the Camp Commander would have figured out that she definitely can't be The Insider. She's so out of order these couple of days. It'd be a total insult to my intelligence if either of these 3 were convicted of being "ME". And then we have those smarty peeps who think they'd like to be me. Heard also some chic named "Ah Sher" a.k.a "Hui Sze" running around claiming to be The Insider. Signing off dudes. I'll be BACK.

She was seen carrying several copies of the freshly printed fliers. From tapping her phone call.. i've gathered that the fliers will be personally handed over by Grace to the Camp Creative Director TONIGHT! for those of you who cant wait till Sunday to sign up for camp... i suggest you hunt Grace down and get those fliers before they reach the Creative Director's hands. Knowing her, the Creative Director would probably claw you to death if you tried snatching things out of her hands. All the best in your attempt mates!

Guys... apparently the Youth Camp committee have caught wind of my presence. They're doing whatever they can to stop me from revealing their plans for Youth Camp 2006. Frankly.. i dunno what the big fuss is all about. Everything will be laid out at camp anyhow. FIY.. People have been talking. They're saying that I'm part of the committee. Seriously... would i want to risk my own skin and publish a classified blog if i were part of the very exclusive Youth Camp 2006 committee?? You tell me. Anyhow... inside contacts gave me access to the camp flier design for the year. check it out! It's a flip-open flier. you'll get the picture when you finally see it after Service this Sunday. (Oh.. notice the piece of meat on the flier! It's not just any piece of ham... it's Super MOO! never heard of the dude before but the black-and-white spotted superhero looks kinda cool). Also... word has it that the super heroes on the camp flier are the creations of the camp committee. I understand that in one of the earlier meetings, the camp commander, Brilliant Mr David Yong distributed lil pieces of blank paper and had each committee member draw out their own original superhero. of course not all of the superheroes made it onto the flier. Some were just too absurd for words. Among the characters that didnt make it to the flier are Blank Man, Super Model, and a.. errrr.. Miss Piggy? Talk about creativity! This team of committee members has everything it takes to pull of the BIGGEST event of the year! but of course... they wont be tking the credit for everything. based on my own observation.. the team's all out for the glory of God. they're trusting God to work His awesome wonders this year and bring in an unbelievable number of campers and salvations. The team is rallying topgther in prayer.Superb! Pray along with em peeps if you wanna see BIGGER things happening. As always.. i wont fail u loyal fans of mine.Thrash cans are a good source of info. Take a look at what i found in the Creative Director's thrash can! Original sketches by the camp committee of their super heroes! Oops.. Gotta run peeps. Have a blessed week ahead.

The Insider's Back!

Yo peeps! The Insider’s Back! Can’t be here all year round you know. Got things to do.. places to go… conversations to hack into. But it’s always worth while to come back when things in the Youth Camp meeting room heats up. Take it from me.. Youth Camp’s the BIGGEST event of the year! And it’s BACK!
Just got of my private jet this evening (been on another mission spying on some other camps on the other end of the globe. Nothing really interesting there). Tell you what guys… thought I’d just drop in for Youth Alive today to see what’s brewing for camp. So far this is what I gathered …. The theme for Youth Camp 2006 is ZERO to HERO. Real retro if you ask me.. but dude! Haven’t you heard?? RETROS totally in this year. I wouldn’t miss this camp for the world. Man.. the camp committee has taken to whispering when it comes to camp details. Apparently they’re planning to throw up a Big Bash this year.. whole new agenda for camp. Let’s see them TRY to keep me in the dark bout it.
Anyway.. from what I managed to pick up… camp fees have gone up. RM198 – 4 days, 3 nights. But contacts have let me in that Youth Camp 2006 : Zero to Hero is still the CHEEPEST and FLASHY-iest camp in the zone. The camp site this year .. it’s just superb! We’re going to the Beach! Bayu Beach Resort, Port Dickson. For those of you who rmbr it from Youth Camp 2004.. it’s gonna be 4 solid days of sun, sea and sand (and moonlight, pool parties, pillow fights, BBQs and smashing live bands). Beyond that..those of you regular campers will rmbr how GOD ROCKS the place every year (without fail).
Ok ok.. down to business. As always, I’m here to bring you juicy tit-bits and inside leaks concerning the hanky-panky behind the Camp Meeting doors, sneak previews and off-the-record info about Anything and Absolutely Everything those Camp Committees put on their desks (and under).

Rule No. 1: You do not question who I am. I am The Insider. Kapish?
Rule No. 2: You do not reveal to the Camp Committee (or any of their immediate family members) where you get you leak outs from.

For your personal viewing pleasure.. I’ve posted an image from a piece of poster that I manage to rip from some kid with really long hair. I’m guessing she’s this year’s Promo & Media coordinator. Nearly shredded me with her finger nails when I tried to nip the poster away for her. Just managed to tear a piece and make a run for it. I must say.. those camp committees are getting crazier every year. Take a look at the piece from this year’s flier… there’s a piece of MEAT on it! Looks like steak. Actually, we found one skin which has a scenery of a beach which might be suitable ( you’ll know why is it so) but it will be preferably our Youth Camp 2005 group picture appearing on this blog rite…rite? A list of the committee of Youth Camp 2006. who will that be?? hmmm..... is it you? or is it you? suspense.... but fret not you'll noe right after this (scroll la) . Wait, wait but before that, do you guys and gals have any clue about this year's camp theme? Last year was The Appointed so what about this year? lalallaa... could it be........ or could it be...... Four days to camp, and u wonder what are the committee doing?

Well, let me assure you that the committee has been REALLY busy, putting the small details of camp together! (try spending everyday in church!) From cutting papers, to name tags, to laminating, to glueing, to photostating.....

There's gonna be a final meeting today in church where each of them will be assigned invidual task. There's just so much to do but I'm not complaining, Im simply excited!

For those who have not paid their full camp fees... please, PLEASE do so!! :)

Eight day to go.... Can you say you're not excited for camp?

If u're answer is YES... *faints*

tis*tis*tis*. what a pity. hehee.

On a serious tone, i would really encourage you to start praying, asking God to create that excitment in your heart. God is going to move in camp, with or without you. There will be an awesome time of worship, a powerful time of sermon and a smashing time of praying...and it just doesnt stop there.... Start committing urself to Him, ask God to prepare your heart. Again, i stress.. Go with an expectation. Start asking!! Start expecting! If u ask according to His will, He will NEVER disapoint you.

Dont go home, unfulfilled. Instead, go home testifying that you met God in camp.

This IS the latest news.

We had a brainstorm in the evening today. And we finally drafted out the bus list, room list and group list!!! Yeay!

Before i continue, my condolence goes out to the bus, room, and group which has the noisy bunch of younger girls... hehe. *no names mentioned though*

Oh, anyway...we will be going to Malacca in four buses. Bus 1, Bus 2, Bus 3, and Bus 4. hehehe. Names have been divided accordingly. 'We did our best!' As for the room list, we tried our best to accomodate every of your request, especially those bring frens. After, mix and matching here and there... we had managed to come out with a tentative list. If im not mistaken, it'll be out for you all to be viewed some time soon.

We also elected the leaders and assistant leaders for the groups! :) See, we achieved so much today! However, just today is not enough. There'll be another meeting next week to finalise more stuff.

From now till then.. :)

KLANG: GTA Klang's youth group, Youth Alive, will be having the biggest event of the year in December that is their annual Youth Camp 2005.

This camp, an event brought to you by Youth Alive! of GTA will be held on the 26th to 29th December, at d' Village Resort, Ayer Keroh, Melaka. The price per person, is RM 170. It must be noted that an additional RM 20 will be charged for late registration, that is after the 11th December.

Kenny Chin, 20, the camp director pleaded guilty of committing the offence of organizing the camp when interviewed in his residence in Jalan Kapar here on Dec 9, 2005. Kenny, the director of last year's camp was excited when The Insider started asking for updates concerning the camp. Like a bullet-train, he ranted on and on about camp. However, he refused to comment whether or not there will be a 'tiger-caught' this year.

One male camper, who wished to be identified as Jan, expressed his excitement of being able to attend camp. "Ahh..so nice larr. Last year's camp was great, this year its gonna be awesome! Can't wait for the day to come!" After investigating his background, it was established that he was one of the first few to sing up! 'Good job Jan!'

As The Insider surveyed the registration counter last Sunday, it was not surprising to find out that there were many last minute registrations! A total of 19 campers signed up, which makes the total head count of 131 people. The secretary, Ernest Tee, confirmed this amount. "Yes, we are moving towards our target! Pressed, but not crushed, we will be trusting God for more."

The committees, who met last Saturday for a meeting, have come to a consensus concerning the number of t-shirts to be printed for each size. Initially, there was a minor dispute between the camp director and his assistant on how many baby-tees to be printed for the girls. It was 50 pieces against 60 pieces. Both of them had their own arguments. The director was thinking more of 'what if it doesn't sell? guys can't buy it!' Ahha..maybe they can buy it for the sister or gfs. On the other hand, the assistant argued that there are more than 60 girl campers! After analyzing the name list, giving the issue much consideration, Kenny graciously agreed to 60 pieces. When approached for comment, Michelle, the assistant, advised the girls not to procrastinate when buying the t shirts! "It comes on a first come first serve basis!! Grab them!"

Next, The Insider moved on the financial part of camp. The visibly distressed treasurer, Caroline Lim, urged campers to pay their camp fees. "Please coorporate. Pay your camp fees!" When furthered interviewed, it was shocking to find out that only 50 persons had paid their full camp fees!!! What about the rest? "Yes, its very difficult on the part of the committee to plan, even some haven't paid a deposit," she added. The money will be utilized for transportation, and other neccessary costs.

Logistics coordinator, Julian Koay dismissed rumours that the Youth Camp will be a 'survival camp' style. He reaffirmed that the camp will be a place, where the campers will be able to unwind and relax, in addition to that, gain a refreshing exprience with God. The Insider made a detailed check on the venue, and found out that the rooms were equipped with air conditioning, and hot/cold showers. "There's gonna be a ballroom, with a capacity to host 1000 people." No holiday is complete without a swim in the pool. The resort has a swimming pool for a refreshing swim or simply lie back for a relaxing sun bathing experience.

When asked about the camp booklet, chirpy Promotion Coordinator, announced that the camp booklets will be out soon! However, she refused to comment on the details. Investigation is still going on.

When approached, the Prayer Coordinator, Sara Lee, urged the campers to start praying for camp! "Camp is cominng nearer and nearer, its not too early to start praying!" She also highligted the fact that there will be a Sunday morning prayer meeting at 7am in MPH 3 every week, till the day of camp.

There will be loads of fun programmes this year. It has been decided that there will be one workshop session slotted in this year. Kyleen Teh, the program director, reported that she had assigned a couple of people to handle the games. When asked further on what games will be held, she smiled and declined to answer.

Not forgetting an important part of camp, the praise and worship! The coordinator, Daniel Seliong, updated The Insider on the progress of the practices. According to him, due to some circumstances, some of the worship teams have been swapped for the nights. However, he confirmed the songleaders for the night will be Melvin and Reuben.

The Youth Pastor, Pastor Gideon couldn't be reached for any comments. According to some unindentified sources, he is apparently away on a 7-days mission trip to Sarawak. Please keep him and his team in prayer. The other committees, Anthony Lam and Ryan cannot be located too.

Hey campers!

There's a strong tugging in my heart. We need to start pray hard for Youth Camp.

Here's a list to guide you what to ask God for:
(they are in no particular order. all are equally important)

1. Campsite -
for santification of the campsite, for favour from the management of the resort, for His protection through out the camp. pray that everything will go well: from the PA system, to every small detail.

2. Journey -
grant us safe journey, to and fro. grant us good weather. skillful bus driver. that nothing will hinder us from reaching the campsite on time.

3. Speakers -
Commander Gideon, Edmund Smith - that God prepare them, equipt them adequately for camp. That God will use them to speak into the hearts of the young people, and this truth will set many lives free. For God's protection to be upon them, and their family members.

4. Worship team -
for God's abundance annoiting be upon them, even during practices.

5. Camp Committee -
grant them wisdom, good discretion when making decisions for camp. to set their differences apart, and work together as a team for this camp.

6. Campers (yes, urself!) -
Ask God to prepare your hearts, to come with an expecting heart. Start telling God what you want to see Him do in camp. Never belittle what God can do for you. Ask him for MORE! He'll never disapoint you.

7. Salvation of the non-believers -
That God meet them personally in camp, and that they'll accept Jesus Christ as their personal saviour. Let it be a non-forgettable experience for them.

8. Food - :)
hey, food is important ok! Pray for the menu. That nice, clean, healthy, hygienic food will be prepared.

There will be a Sunday morning prayer meeting at 7 am every week, till the day of the camp. =) Join us. It's gonna take everybody's effort to make this camp a success.

p.s: The commitee will be fasting on everyday Thursday, lunch. Again, join us if you can. Make an effort to remember. Thanks. =)

hip hip hooray!!

The committe had a meeting last Saturday, and we had so much to finalise. The design for the t-shirt have been pretty much decided. We made Alison, Daniel, Kyleen, and Julian model the shirts during the meeting. We 'needed' them to decide which size fits who. For the girls, we're gonna have baby tees!! How cool is that?! However, they are limited in stock and it sells on a first come first serve basis...during camp! (i think) If you managed to catch a glimpse of Alison with her ponytail up last Saturday, may i highlight the fact that she was wearing D t-shirt. :) *say hi alison!* But of course, not that size la! She's so tiny!

Another hip hip hooray!! point is that we have a total of (approx) 131 campers so far! Guys and girls, its still not to late to sign up!! Bring ur frens...classmates..neighbours!! Oh may i mention that out of 131 campers, less than 50% of them have paid their FULL CAMP fees! *hint hint hint* hehe. :P Pleasseee..payy upp la!!!

I've already seen the sample tee...its GREEN. However, i heard that after getting a couple of feedbacks, there's gonna be some major changes to it. :)

May i encourage those who are still deciding whether to sign up for camp, to take this bold step, submit your form this weekend. :) Its going to be an unforgetable experience. If you're thinking...'yeah right', ..*sighs* ..the choice is yours. I've been going for youth camp for years, and each year, every camp, i encounter a new experience with God. And its my desire that ALL of you will have this oppurtunity too. Btw, Im not saying that you will not be blessed if u dont sign up, I just saying...grab this oppurtunity! =)

This camp is going to be different!!!! Trust me. The program director has already drafted out the camp timetable, and we managed to slot in workshops this time around. :) See, i told you so. There'll be fun fun games... Oh well, enough said for today.

Hello Friends!

My sincerest apologies. I know i have not been faithfully updating this blog but please be a little understanding...The Insider has lots of other commitments!!!

Anyway, as mentioned in previous entries... Registration IS open!!!!! There's a whole new deal now... IF u do register within this week... You get to choose your own roomates!!!! Mind u, its 3 to a room...guys with guys. and girls with girls.

Let me illustrate my point now: ( i know, it doesnt really make sense)

Since Collin is goodfrens with Julian and Daniel, he can choose to have them as his roomates. However, the problem only arises if Julian becomes hamsap and decides that he doesnt want to be in the group and chooses to stay with girls! ...which is a totally impossible, inobtainable thing to think of.

Up to date, we have 50 registrations! And its only October! If u dont want to be disapointed, i strongly suggest that u sign up this Saturday!

For your benefit, i came up with the brilliant idea of 'Guidelines to signing up for Youth Camp'. Just follow the simple steps below:

1. Ask for a form
2. Fill up the details.
3. If u're below 18, make sure u get an autograph from ur parent
4. Pay the deposit of full amount.
5. Hand the form back.

And voila! U're registered! Simple eh. I've even devised a simple song... U ASK! FILL! AUTOGRAPH! PAY ! Hand it backk....OOooOo.... ASK! FILL! AUTOGRAPH!! PAY!! and HAnd it bacckkkkk..... Oooo...

Some of u all have approached us, asking all sorts of questions on the campsite. After answering them, some of them went like this ' u sure or not? have u been there? u all saw the place already mer?' The worst part is when they say.. 'dont bluff la'. hehehe.. our reflex reply would be.. ' bluff u got money get ah?' .. but then, diplomatically, we answer..(with best smiles).. Yes, its true.

Its Finally Out!

Its here. Its finally here. The forms are finally out! Youth Camp's registration forms are finally out. The launch of youth camp's registration started yesterday, in conjunction with the YA's anniversary.

There was a video clip, featuring last year's camp... it serves as a reminder on how much fun we had last camp....there was the famous no 20 tshirt, 'packeted' rice, the grossy telematches... !!!! to be honest, i see no reasons not to go!!

Forms are finally out. So get your copy.. fill in ur details, get ur parents to sign it.. pay ur deposit. .and u're one step closer to camp!

btw, i know the forms are a little.. ahem* photostated. .. but.. i assure u, the commitee will be coming out with printed forms.. hopefully by this week.. (there were some problems with the shop's printer last week).. our apologies.

Hey peeps, I've got a leak. It seems this saturday is the official launch for Youth Camp registration. It seems that everything has been finalise and the fliers are out. Apparently, the fliers looked real cool and the registration form was extra-ordinary. Well I can't get much info/pic of the fliers coz its classified. The director took extra care to make sure that the fliers is shown to everyone this sat during Youth Alive Anniversary. So .. do make it for Youth Alive Anniversary to see and experience the launch of Youth Camp 2005 . Till the next time, i shall dig out more news for all of you ....

Kenny's wont be around for whole weekend. wakaka.. and the Committee says.. Yeay! Apparently, he elected Michelle to take over his duties. (duh! who else ler? deputy!) Anyway, where was i?

Back to the topic.. the management of The Venue (btw lets call Ayer Keruh D'Village..The Venue, dont u think that sounds cooler?) was supposed to fax their quotation to the church office. So i guess, the venue is like 100% finalised.

Oh yeah, another leak out. Apparently, there'll be some promotion going this concurrent Sunday. Im not sure what it is. Maybe a skit. Maybe some posters.... I overheard Alison's conversation with Julien today. Something funny, i think. Last week's poster was good. Oh well, we'll find out what the Committe has in store on Sunday itself.

My feelings now: Its tiring being in the Committee. (im not complaining!)

There was another forum today. This time, i could definately see some progress. To be honest, i was quite worried.. because for the past weeks, we didnt seem to be making any progress. (at least, that was what i thought to be) The venue of the camp was finally decided.

So folks, Im proud to announce the venue for Youth Camp 2005 (actually, i dont know whether im suppose to announce it or not) oh well. Lets pretend that you didnt find out from here. :) Its Ayer Keruh D'Village, Malacca. Don't frown now. Its a pretty nice place. It has a FANTASTIC hall. The best among the other places the committee checked out. This picture will do the trick... (just one picture for now)

Ok, i guess i side track a little...
Back to the forum..

Besides the venue, we also discussed the budgeting and funds. :) And promotion.

Brainstorming...

We had a Brainstorming session today. The purpose of this forum (btw, we call our meeting forum) was to discuss the theme and venue of Youth Camp 2005.

Our forum started at 7.oopm with a prayer by Andy Gan. First on the agenda..' the theme'. Kenny explained that the theme for this camp would probably be the same as last year's (with a little modification). The camp committe was required to come up with ideas on a catchy phrase based on the camp's Scripture verse: 1 Peter 2:6-10

6 For in Scripture it says: "See, I lay a stone in Zion, a chosen and precious cornerstone, and the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame."7Now to you who believe, this stone is precious. Kenny made all the committee contribute ideas. Everyone had to crack their brains... Grace, out of desparation..gave the suggestion of 'wa beh hiao' (which means I dont know). Respecting her view, Kenny put her suggestion on to the board. :) Everything seemed unfruitful until about 8.40 pm, Melvin, who was sitting there quietly, gave a suggestion.

This was how 'quiet' Mel was.

Melvin: How about The Appointed?

Everybody look at Melvin in awe...

Kenny: Okay. That sounds good.

We then decided to expand his idea. Out of nowhere, Mr Smart-Pants Kenny, came up with another suggestion: The Appointment.

As u guessed, we had a debate over the theme. A heated argument broke out. It was a debate between The Appointed: The Appointment. We decided to opt for a vote. You know how it goes, majority wins. Out of 14 people, two persons (Kenny and Kyleen) chose The Appointment. However, not willing to accept the result... Kenny demanded an explanation for the reason why majority chose The Appointed.

Kenny, deeply upset, began 'shooting' the fellow committes who didnt see eye to eye with him. (he in his pretence world).

This triggered Ryan, and he started acting weirdly. (Sorry, i can't explain how weird is weird, maybe a video might help)

Sometimes, some things just doesnt matter. Grace, Michelle and Kyleen..obviously in the world of their own. ( in other words, not paying attention!!!)

In the end, Kenny GAVE UP! haha.

After twisting and turning everything around, we decided on The Appointed. :) Thats our theme for this year. It's FINAL. for now.

Next on the agenda was the camp venue. Kenny revealed the details of venue which was under consideration...somewhere in PD. He stated that a team of three, Cmd Gideon, Michelle and himself will be leaving for PD at 6am on the 30th July to examine that place. (6am!! can u believe that?!)

Meeting was adjourned at 9.05pm with a short prayer by Andy Gan.

Then it was dinner at a hawker centre. (we were very very very hungry by then)

Waiting... impatiently for food to arrive.

Welcome to the Youth Camp's official blog page. Well, this page will be totally devoted to update u guys and girls on the youth camp's progress. We know that some of you wonder the commitee members are doing... (whether Kenny's doing his job, whether Julien brushes his teeth before coming for meetings, whether Michelle paints her fingernails the same colour as her toenails, and who was Caroline sms-ing during meetings) therefore, hence the birth of this blog to let u all know a little on whats going on.
